Emergency screen privacy

Why do Alt+Tab or closing a window not solve every privacy emergency?

Short answer

Switching or closing can work for one window when your hands are free. It is less dependable with many windows, full-screen shortcuts, unsaved files, or a person who may continue using the PC.

Switching one window is not the same as completing protection

Alt+Tab can reveal window previews, closing may show a save prompt or lose unsaved work, and minimized windows can be reopened from the taskbar. These methods suit a single window when there is time, not every urgent situation.

A configured trigger executes the windows and actions that the user already selected. Lock Windows if someone may touch the PC. The software does not scan content and choose what to hide on the user's behalf.

  • One window and enough time: switch or close manually
  • Several target windows: configure and verify first
  • Prevent further use: lock Windows
