Setup and device requirements
Does camera detection save or upload images?
Short answer
No. Camera detection is processed locally, does not identify faces, and does not save, record, or upload images. Camera features are disabled by default and operate only after the user enables them.
Enable it only when needed
Gesture and away detection read camera frames to estimate an action or presence state, but the product does not retain those frames as photos or video and does not use them to identify who a person is.
If you do not want the application to use the camera, leave those features disabled. Shortcut, USB, and Bluetooth triggers do not require a camera. You can also review camera permissions in Windows privacy settings.
- Processed locally
